Reporting a Problem In the event of an emergency, that requires immediate response to preserve life or property; Notify the Cornell 911 Center, operated by Cornell Police, by one of these methods:

Emergency Evacuation Building evacuation is mandatory when any of the following occur:
Building occupants must exit immediately, following the building evacuation plan. After the building has been evacuated, occupants must wait for the “all-clear signal” from emergency responders before reentering. If you are unable to leave the building due to a physical disability:

Emergency Communications For all but immediate notification to protect lives, University Communications is responsible for the communication about the emergency on the operating status and emergency web sites. www.cornell.edu/about/status/ Once an emergency has progressed past the initial response period, communications will be developed based on information provided by on-scene responders to either the Incident Lead Team (ILT) or the Executive Committee. These leadership teams have the responsibility of deciding when and what should be communicated to the Cornell community, surrounding communities, and the media. University Communications has responsibility for communicating the message.
